Wood Slats Ceiling Project

This project was implemented in a modern coffee shop located in Tampa FL. The space features a high industrial-style ceiling, and the client was looking for a solution that would visually lower the ceiling without heavy construction, while also adding warmth and acoustic comfort to the space.

We proposed and installed a series of vertically suspended wooden slats—resembling narrow beams—that serve both decorative and functional purposes. The natural wood tones soften the industrial look of the black ceiling and exposed beams, while subtly diffusing sound in the café. The slats were strategically placed around the central lighting fixture to enhance symmetry and maintain modern aesthetics.
